Verified Buyer | Chesapeake, VirginiaTire rebate
I purchased 4 Goodyear tires from NTB and was supposed to get a $50 rebate/ NTB provided me a single document, the invoice, which they informed me had all the required information on it. I submitted the rebate on line and it was denied stating they needed more information...the same information that was already on the invoice I submitted.
So I resent the invoice after making sure all the information required was highlighted. That was denied and I was told I needed to send more information before a specific date or the rebate offer would expire. I have no idea what information is needed so guess they wore me down and won. Never again will I be suckered into using a Goodyear rebate.
And shame on Goodyear for not working with the dealerships for the submission of the tires they have proof of purchase for. Just a scam to wear down the customer.

Yes but only because I am locked into using them since I bought the warranty. While the warranty doesn’t actually cover what it claimed to cover when I bought it, it would cost even more for me to go to a competitor.
All of this information I was already aware of, as I had already had the exact same conversation when I dropped the vehicle off. I confirmed I was ok with the charges, and had to wait yet another hour for it to be ready. The guy apologized for the delay, and said he tried calling me. At drop off I had noticed they had the wrong phone number for me in their system and they updated it on the hard copy.
Apparently this information did not get out into the system.
At pickup, I asked them to please update my number in the system, and they looked and said it had already been done. I have zero confidence in that.

I got a full set of 4 tires with a warranty for tire replacement if a flat is not able to be repaired. I had the misfortune of getting a flat that cannot be replaced, and need to exercise the warranty.
So they made sure to point out that only the tire is covered, and I will still be charged almost $100 for installation, disposal, and several other random things. I was surprised to hear that and was told in a condescending way that I should have known that since it was in the fine print of the warranty and it wasnt her fault that wasnt explained to me. While that may be true, its still super shady. I should also mention there are 4 or 5 independently owned Goodyears near me that wont honor the warranty and I had to travel 20 miles on a donut to get to one that would.
I really regret choosing Goodyear. I certainly never will again.

Preferred solution: I would like my tire replaced at no charge, as it’s under warranty.
User's recommendation: Choose ANY other tire place. Shady business practices and poor customer service.
Sammy Rebate, deceptive practices, predatory lending.
I spent over 1500.00 on a set of new Good Year tires. Decided on them due to high 200.00 rebate offer.
I do not appreciate spending my hard earned money during a recession on a product to be swindled.
When a well known company makes consumers jump through multiple hoops after a major purchase that means there are red flags warning you have made a terrible financial decision.
After submitting the rebate information online I could not finish said rebate because they want the first 4 digits of the credit card that I applied for and got approved for on the day of purchase.
Problem is they don't provide you with the first 4 numbers, only the last 4.
I went back to where I purchased and they told me I had to wait for my card.
This program should be shut down.
They want consumers to give up.
Well I won't. I will take this as far as I can.
Never patronizing their establishment again. Unreal.

Verified BuyerRebate SCAM
In Dec 2022 I purchased 4 tires and had additional service totaling over $1,300 performed on my vehicle at my local Goodyear Retailer. The purchase qualified for a $150 rebate that was submitted & approved online.
In March I called Goodyear to check the Rebate status and was told it was processed, and I would receive a card in the mail in the next 4-6 weeks. 4 months later, I again called Goodyear's Rebate Dept. to follow up (888-683-****) and was told a Rebate was issued and that I would have to call Black Hawk, the card provider to request a new card (877-227-****).
When I called Black Hawk I was told they did not mail out a physical card to my address, but rather emailed an electronic rebate to me. Explaining that I hadn't received either, I requested a replacement Rebate.
They refused and said that the electronic rebate (never received) expired on June 30 and funds were forfeited! When asked for proof or verification that a rebate was emailed, I was emailed a copy of their "Terms & Conditions" that were accompanied with the rebate (again, never received).
WHAT A SCAM. Shame on Goodyear for engaging in such deceptive business practices. I have trusted Goodyear with my personal and business vehicles for over 35 years without issue, until now.
I was unjustly cheated out of a small rebate.
This constitutes fraud. What a petty way for Goodyear to lose a customer.

Two different warranties. The manufacturer warranty that covers your tires deals with tread wear.
Goodyear has a mileage designation on how many miles the tire’s tread remains covered. In your case, you are dealing with the road hazard warranty. It covers the tire only. Labor, disposal and balancing are your responsibility.
This warranty isn’t sold by a Goodyear. It is sold by a third party company .
Some Goodyear centers done sell this warranty. That’s why they didn’t honor the warranty.
I am aware of all this already, which was precisely the purpose of my negative review.
